Knoll Light Factory 3.0.2 for Adobe Photoshop allows you to design photo-realistic or enhanced lighting effects. This Photoshop lighting effects plugin adds flare and sparkle to any photograph or image, giving photographers and digital artists a unique tool for their commercial work.

Knoll Light Factory was originally designed by Photoshop co-creator John Knoll to generate Photon Torpedoes in the Star Trek movies. Knoll Light Factory provides the Photoshop lighting effects tools to design and add extremely realistic lens flares. The individual flare elements can also be used to create vibrant graphics that go beyond the typical lens flares found in Photoshop.
Easily construct natural light by combining 19 elements that occur in real life when photographing lights and bright objects. Other features model lights, add glows to existing objects and create enhanced lighting effects. The lights can be as realistic or fantastical as your imagination. Are you familiar with Knoll 2.0? Knoll Light Factory Version 3.0.2 introduces a complete redesign of the user interface, with a simplified layout, new functions, a quick Preview Window, and preview thumbnails for light presets.
Speed, streamlining, and new light presets.
Improving and speeding up the workflow was a major emphasis for Knoll Light Factory version 3.0.2 The Light Editor has been integrated into a single interface that can be moved and resized to the user';s workspace. We have doubled the shipped lighting presets to get you quickly started. Version 3.0 (unlike 2.0) runs with Adobe Photoshop CS4, Vista machines (32/ 64-bit).

Here is an overview of the primary changes between version 2.0 and version 3.0.2
100+ Light Presets: Over 50 new light presets give you additional pre-made Photoshop lighting effects that range from naturalistic to dramatic.
New User Interface: The UI has been redesigned for ease of use, including previews of light presets and access to editing functions in one window.
Real-Time Preview: The main Preview Window now supports real-time manipulation, as well as the ability to resize and zoom in/out.
16-bit Color Support: Light effects now render out to higher bit depths, which reduces banding and outputs better looking glows and gradients.
Obscuration Layer: Use a grayscale mask to partially obscure the lights, and make more realistic effects when lights are being partially blocked by an object.
Tint Layer: Use a separate layer to change the flare color for easier compositing on complex images.
Randomize Feature: A Randomize button and slider let users organically discover fun new Photoshop lighting effects.
Undo Functionality: Multi-level undo allows for an improved workflow when designing lights.
Compatible with 64-bit Windows: Support for Photoshop CS4, and Vista 32- and 64-bit systems.
