This is about doing something for the forum, generating some traffic, ive done the easy part, i thought people would grasp what i was trying to do and hopefully pass it around as much as possible.

The title grabbed you attention, ok the content isn't that special but the point is if this was on a few more sites then do you think it would catch other peoples attention too?

Come on guys its not all about take, lets give a little too.

Promotion with torrents is easy. Take the statistical data from this forum, which ebooks or programs are most downloaded or searched after, this means that the same program will be searched in the torrent network, make a zip file of the program or ebook and include a txt file with a link to this forum, upload to a bittorent network, for example thepiratebay.org, with a bit torrent client like azureus, utorrent or others.

Do this many times with top requested programs and in 2 months you have thousands of people visiting the forum.

Another way to promote the forum is to place the forum link in all files you find and upload to RS or other file host for sharing. Then when the file gets posted to other forums, hopefully it will be a good file that someone urgently wanted to get and they will see that it came from here. They will naturally come look here to see if there are other things they want.

In addition, the password to the file can be made gurusecret.info/vbforum/ Then the forum link can be posted on forums that don't allow links to other forums. If the file gets posted there, the password has to be provided as well.

Some forums hire "uploaders" to work daily filling up the guest area with files containing the forum link or link as password. That way leechers from other forums who don't bother to repackage files before they distribute them do lots of free advertising.
